We perform corrective and emergency conveyor belt repairs with specialized personnel and company-owned vulcanizing equipment. Our work is aimed at recovering the asset, extending its service life and supporting operational continuity.

We repair belt covers and damaged sections through hot vulcanization. Depending on belt condition, the scope may include steel-cord recovery and restoration of belt integrity.

The work is defined according to the belt type and site conditions. The assessment may include inspection, thickness measurements, deflection checks and functional tests.

We also provide chemical repairs and conveyor belt inspections. Mechanical fasteners may support interventions involving tears, belt-length adjustments or difficult-to-access conveyors.

In April 2024, VPS completed hot-vulcanized repairs on the CP-01 and CP-02 belts at Chuquicamata Underground.
